I purchased the X-Pro1 as a lightweight alternative to my Canon DSLR. Having had it for 2 months, I have to say it is unlikely that my Canon will see the light of day again. The Fuji is a massive upgrade! The detail, sharpness and colour rendition from the sensor/dedicated lens combination are all outstanding. Although I always shot RAW with the Canon, JPEGs straight out of the Fuji are superb, with distortions, aberrations and dynamic range adjustments all taken care of very well indeed. Having the option of LCD, EVF or OVF gives great flexibility. Controls are very intuitive, with the most-used adjustments all close to hand. Fuji are to be applauded for their attention to customers' suggestions and the firmware now aboard is first-class, with the most notable improvement being focus-peaking. I now have 4 lenses - 18mm, 35mm 18-55mm and 55-200mm and they are all superb - the primes being as good if not better than anything I have experienced from Canon - including their 'L' series in my humble opinion.
As primarily a Landscape/Architectural snapper, I can't wait for the 10-24mm lens release.
One word of warning. If you are a sport or wildlife photographer, this may not be the kit for you. There are a number of other cameras out there for which autofocus is faster and more sure-footed. But if that's not your scene and landscapes, portraiture, macro and street are your thing, then the X-Pro1 will not disappoint.
