There's no such thing as bad weather - only different types of lighting

John Gravett, one of the most respected landscape photographers in the UK, is showcasing over 30 images at the unique exhibition and rather than focusing on sunny scenes, his photographs capture the spectacular Lake District made even more dramatic and breath-taking by the very harshest of weather conditions.

Inspired by Johnís belief that the Cumbrian landscape is at its most glorious in more severe conditions, the exhibition images feature rain, cloud, mist, storms, sleet and snow and while the weather in the picture might not be pretty, the Lake District scene captured is consistently awe-inspiring.

John Gravett is recognized as one of Britain's foremost landscape photographers and photographic tutors and this is his latest body of landscape work to have been made available for public viewing.

John owns and runs Lakeland Photographic Holidays, offering a range of themed photography workshops, dedicated tuition, thoughtful accommodation and mouth-watering food for everyone from complete beginners to outright photography experts.
