I found an interesting website through searching in Google whereby you can go into a file in the RawShooter program and change any reference of "350D" to "400D" and the program will function with that camera instead (but probably ignore any pictures taken with the 350D!) Just found the link, though it may not link... Having a quick read, it seems you are required to convert your CR2 files in...

An EPZ preview here. "Those who already own a Canon EOS 350D will find little difference between this new offering, and their current camera. The control layout is the same and the body is the same size."

I found it!!! There's a nipple near the base of the flash that gets stuck. When it's stuck it doesn't know the flash popped up. Hence, take a fine pic to lift that nipple. Fixed!

This website has downloads of all the Canon software for the EOS 400D/XTi (scroll down to the bottom). If they're not the most up to date you should then be able to use the updates on the official Canon sites. HTH, Simon

From cameralabs on the Canon 400D (dust removal) All in all, it’s an impressive sounding approach which appears to cover all eventualities, but how well does it all work in practice? Comparing the effectiveness of various anti-dust systems is always tough, but what we can do is describe our own experiences during the testing process where we changed lenses several times a day both indoors an...

EOS 400D

I have the battery grip for mine, it is great because I can easily get two days of busy shooting without worrying about batteries. Also I have the holder for 6 AA batteries - an extra bonus. Trouble is, the camera always thinks the batteries are full charge, it can suddenly go dead without any warning. I have heard this is a problem also with the 5D, does anyone else suffer from this? I c...

Thank you all very much!!! I tried the pencil eraser thing and the lens started to work well; though, when I change it and put it back again the problem continues as long as I turn my eos on, then it works as expected!!! Think I got it for a cleaning and general revision. But thank you again for caring and your fast answer!!! I got the battery issue in mind too...

The max flash shutter speed (which will be in your camera manual) is the max speed that will safely work with a dedicated hotshoe flashgun. Generally, it's much safer to synch studio flash heads at least 1 click lower, and often when used with cheap radio triggers it needs to be much lower than that. And why do you need a fast shutter speed in the studio anyway? The shutter speed has no m...
