This is the samples page on the Canon Japan website, given the way this has been populated in the past I wouldn't hold out hopes for a RAW image at high ISO anytime soon though. Am I missing something with this? I can only see 600x400 pixel images. The highest ISO one being 12,800 - which looks very clean. But how could you tell at that size?

As both of the cameras you are looking at are good ones, the most decisive factor is the feel of the camera in your hand. Thank you very much I am definitely liking the sound of the 350D from what I have looked at so far, if I can afford it, if not maybe the 300D which will hopefully go down quite a bit when the 350D comes out in March. A lot of people seem to be very happy with the 300D I will go and have a feel and c what I think in the next couple months. Thanks again for everyone's help.

I've seen loads of excellent photo's from the 300D, and all of them have been on here, as regards to quality and level of photog, I don't see any difference between the 300D and 20D, am pretty sure they could both produce the same photo with my level of photog anyway (which is very VERY little) Regards Craig :o)

Cheers guys. I'm still looking, can't see any for sale at that price yet though. Is there any others I should keep my eye out for? Minolta, Nikon, etc... Something that's a match for the 30E/33? Price and quality wise.

I have 2 1dmkii bodies and 1 20d, usually i pack the 20d instead of the second 1dmkii for 2 reasons the 20d has less iso noise at iso 800 and 1600 the 1dmkii has a focus issue in bad light or nightime outdoor shots as it has a phantom delay before turning on the flash illuminator of around a 1/4 of a second, the 20d has none and locks on faster when you need the illuninator for focus...Why ? ...

OK Hand's up, Not too good at PS5 but have installed DNG with the 6.7 release and still unable to view raws and know that DPP is a freebie, and all looks great there, so will look at some of those tutorials and learn again Thanks for the feed back Lillian

What defines a pro photographer? Do you have to be doing it as a full-time job, have a degree, or just making money at it? Anybody care to throw around some definitions? ;)

You may be correct I saw this one on Ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=30070&item=3867181499&rd=1 the item which says for any EF body but he mentions he has used it on a 10D so maybe he has got confused that the 10D's mirror is not the same as the EF body mirrors. Chris

Just loaded up a hawk hunting pic if anyone interested - from the 10d. Need to look at the tracking system in the new camera - and focus points - think i can change these options quite a bit but have not had time to look at it. Thx Sue
