Olympus OM-D EM-5 Discussion
Relax Paul, you're seeing things that aren't there. I was pointing out to Conrad that you and Brian were talking about 2 different lenses, I was not debating the quality of either.

Talking of quality control.......I think EP should apply some to their reviewers' posts Care to enlarge on that somewhat vague statement?

Pentax K-x ISO
The iso is set to iso 200 for a reason. Base iso has a lower dynamic range than 200. ISO 200 hundred is the optimum minimum iso on your kx.

What's made you grumpy today?
What do you mean, I win ? I didn't mean anything nasty, I just meant your grump is worse then mine, i.e. you were entitled to grump!!
Forum: Group Chat
That's best discussed in the V5 upgrade thread. This thread is for discussing a specific change to the voting system that was trialled a couple of months ago.

One of my favourite cameras is still the MZ-M. All the controls come easily to hand and it is a joy to use. Why did I move to Canon? blame failing eyesight and the power of epz. This year I have reverted to taking the MZ-M out with me again. I have found that I can see through the viewfinder, and read the viewfinder displays with my glasses on. Which saves keep taking them on and off. ...

Pentax cameras, no good?
Hello Pentax/Samsung owners & fans! I'm relative a new member here at this Pentax forum, as still with me a KM Dynax 7D body now fitted for "Ever" with a travel zoom Tamron 18-250mm lens. Last passed half month I decided to "Auto-Gift" me with a new DSLR...so I selected a Pentax K10D/Kit, with the same reason that the "Anti-Skate/Shock" feature is INSIDE the body similarly to my lovely KM...

Nikon v Pentax v Sony
If you really do want a DSLR then I'd consider only Canon and Nikon - Pentax's range of lenses is too small. It depends on what the purpose of the camera is and if it is for a main or second camera. For compactness when you don't want to carry your full DSLR then I agree try MFT. As a second DSLR then Pentax have a lot going for it - relatively small for a DSLR and often better noise co...

Entry level Dslr
Looking at that Sigma report Ken, I was suprised how well it came out, so I looked up a test on my Nikkor AF-S 16-85mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR II DX and that came out as one of the best lenses from Nikon. It costs £100 more than the Sigma though. I am suprised the review of my lens was so good since my experience isn't quite so gushing. Still a very good lens though.

Which DSLR
The Canon 17-85mm f4.0-5.6 IS USM is about $250.00 to $300.00 second hand on Ebay and Amazon.

Pentax K-5 vs. Panasonic GH2
Long-time lurker, first time poster.... I've been shooting a Pentax K20d alongside my wife's Pentax K-x. I needed an upgrade in both still shooting (AF performance in particular) and video (manual controls, IQ). The Pentax K-5 and Panasonic GH2 were the finalists. They each have different strengths obviously, but I decided that I needed improved video before I needed improved stills. So the ...
