It's so easy to make an error or overlook a potential problem when distracted. If you are concentrating on an image other factors sometimes become forgotten.. OK if like me you are using a an old Olympus OM2 (not highly valued but highly prized) if it is trashed the replacement cost is less than a good lens for a Canikon/Nikanon. I am always surprised when concentrating on an image com...

Check my logic

First of all: The vast majority of meteorologists seem to support the anthropogenic theory being responsible for much of our climate change. The majority isn't always right. It's sensible and healthy to question and debate theories such as this, particularly when the costs involved in implementing some of the proposals associated with the agreements based on this theory are colossal. Yes, i...

Another method which gradually blends 2 images - one edited for the sky and one for land. 1. Create 2 copies of your background image in PSE. 2. Name image 1 "Land" and image 2 "Sky". Make sure "Sky" is the top layer. 3. Adjust image 1 for the land, sea etc that you require. 4. Adjust image 2 for the sky you require. 5. Go to: Layer/New Fill Layer/Gradient, Click "OK" 6. Make sure you h...

Quick and easy way is to select your replacement sky image by pressing cntrl A, then go upto edit and select copy. Then select the sky in your original image with a selection tool, and when that's done, go upto edit and select paste into. This will create a new layer with it's own layer mask. If there's any pixels or stepping between the replaced sky and the land in the original image, select ...

Anyway, that's my 10 Euro-cents. But worth so much more! A very eloquent summary of what's wrong with society, Joolsb. Why do we hate Europe so much? Yes, indeed, why? Surely we need to form closer and more rational relationships with both Europe and America - and of course the rest of the world for that matter. Garth

Storm @ Sea

Thanks for the comments. Yep, you get a bit of a shock when those rocks suddenly appear so close to the boat. Maybe the person filming it was on dry land, or in a lighthouse? Seems impossible that stability could be maintained in those conditions and that another boat would be so close.

Wildlife can be odd, I once watched a phesant fly 30 metres out to see land in the water and swim back to shore! Never in my life had I (or my 3 friends all birders most of our lives) seen anything like it, mentioned it to a local and they said, yeah they do it quite a lot!
