Firstly, the theme. Once you decide on the 'theme' the rest tends to follow; The theme will give you an idea about what sort of location you want to use, the props, styling, wardrobe etc. Also get a good makeup artist/hairstylist on board. But you're saying you can producing satisfactory images with this £400 wonder machine, with only a beautiful model, professional makeup artist, lighting technician, studio and several thousand pounds worth of lighting? Amazing. I enjoyed the sarcasm ;)

Yeh Right I see what your driving at. I think a make up artist is pretty essential if you are going to get the best out of the subject. Generally people forget the less is more principal when applying their own makeup. I think I would sell this extra service at a good margin. Make the whole thing pretty exclusive. Cheers Chris

Hi keith, we had no show lights being in a night club in newquay on a low low charity budget I used the two flash heads, one facing the model coming down the cat walk and one facing the stage area, forgot about the preflash element of the 550 , also there was a mix of night club lighting playing things up. Got the job done and what the girls have seen they are giving encouraging feedback s...

Hi, I just read the whole topic as my friend mentioned it before. I hated tattoos in my whole life, especially the cheap ones (or maybe not even cheap?? just let's say low quality ones) what I can see everyday on people wherever I go. I think if someone is deciding to have a tattoo they should really think it over and not go to a tattoo place when they are completely drunk and pushed by the...

Also some thing for you to consider. for the last 12 weeks of a course the students are to do 12 weeks experiance out with college. so you could have a class of make up artists trying to work for you. they have to do 40hours work experiance

You do see a lot of claims for intangibles though? For example, people claim small money for the cost of hospital trips but big money for pain and mental anguish, worry etc.?

The shoot was for a magazine editorial but not very commercial in that few people were paid. If men had been in positions which were essential at the shoot then I think it would have forced the photographer to think things through more at the time. As she said to me, she is learning as she goes along. I had discussed making comments with the photographer beforehand and they said they were ...
