Even though our studio is upstairs I don't think that puts people off. Our gallery and studio are in an old building with the original stained floor boards with a grand staircase going up to the studio which most people love, and no one has ever mentioned it being a problem. The clients that do have a photo shoot all comment on how nice the studio is, they get on great with our photographer, an...

Ok. I took the batteries out of the camera over night but the next day there was no difference. I took the camera and the flash unit that wouldn't fire to the a 'flash shop' and the guy there couldn't understand all the different variations and why some work and some don't. Anyway, I purchased an IR trigger system, so now I can use all my flashes with no cables. I have also emailed...

studio photography in a hall.
Hi Carmen, Don't be so quick to discount the notion of natural daylight. I've done a fair bit of dance photography and some of the best pictures came about from a daylight dance room (these were a tutorial session in which a teacher taught some moves to a group, the room did have some windows on one side). I'm not sure if I can put links in, but this is what I'm referring to. My best advi...

Advice for photo shoot
Using the basic equipment you have..... Stick a diffuser on the flash, don't have one ? put the panel down.,take them outside, preferably in the shade as dslr's like to blow out in sunlight with a nice natural background, use av mode on around 100mm f5.6 to soften any background yet any less and you wont keep the group of 3 sharp and press the button. Ideas, a old country house or mansion ne...

yes the pics are cr#p on the website, lesson learned. £150 too late, for what started out as a prize. Christine, maybe you didn't realise what kind of site this was and how much experience many of the photographers here have about scams and rip off merchants in the business. You've had a hard knock and it's not easy to come back and say so, so kudos to you for doing that. None of us made...

Studio lighting set up
Ahhh this is one thing about the EPZ forums, the Resurrection of threads from the last decade all down to the way the forum brings back search results. I've done it myself, answered a question only to discover the thread was 6 years old.
