I should have a play with an E500 next week, a friend at camera club has just upgraded from a Fuji 7000 to one. Sounds like a good improvement over the older levels displays. Now if only it took Canon lenses :)

Hi Back again Just found this on how to get the SX130IS to shoot raw http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK Did a little reading (ONLY a LITTLE) and found it is the SDHC card that is programmed while in a card reader But early days yet Have to delve much more deeply Cheers for Years Colin

I've tried all the different USM setting given and have found that Keiths 50-50-10 works great on landscapes and Johns 100-1.5-0 is spot on for portraits then blending with the opacity etc. I followed Matts instructions for sharpening and it works a treat. Yes after reading a few times I understand and thats what I want...get the basics like WB and Exposure sorted on a screen then over to P/S to do my normal clumsy messing about.
