I started playing with PS about 3 years ago and although I've hardly accumulated any true insight into the programme I really enjoyed what I COULD do with it. From there I decided that to further my kowledge I would need images I'd made myself-SO I bought a Fuji s602z, not because I wanted to take photos -because I wanted to explore PS.Have kind of got hooked and got me an Olympus e300 and I s...

What about dressing up as a tramp and sitting on a blanket by a street corner, holding a piece of cardboard that reads: "Will Shoot Weddings for Food" Because you're desperate to be a photographer? NB: I mean doing this for a picture. Not just for a laugh or anything. By alex92 At 17:56:34 - 29th Aug 06 LAF, i like your idea, sounds great, but with all due respect i dont want to copy...

I'd concur with the recommendations for Ag, Lenswork and BJP. There are others too like Hotshoe, foto8 and Portfolio - whose current edition . I also enjoy LIP magazine which I get as a member of London Independent Photography. I used to be able to buy a lot of different mags when I was in London, which I wouldn't want to buy regularly but were available in places like The Photographers Gall...

Hi Nathan, This link will take you to it. Once you're there, you might like to bookmark it. There's also a link posted in a box with some info in the column on the right. I think I'm right in saying that it's always there. Alternatively, just keep an eye open in the forums. There's usually a thread running somewhere in there relating to it. And if none of that works . . . . . . just ask...

Paul, I have just installed and successfully run the sample "hello world" action as detailed in the hidden elements tutorial in Elements 4. I would assume that if this still works then other actions should still run. cheers Al.

Indeed, I also did that research, now the thing is, of course, to translate that into an image, but Im not very good at mathematics. :) Thats also the thing about writing tutorials, to keep it simple enough, to achieve a desired result. After that, the posible tweaks and creative posibilities are endless. Maybe you could try with the technique used in "The Aviator", its meant to give you the ...

Texturizing Photos

We could upload textures to the download area. That would be a good thing to share backgrounds, providing no one is precious about their images? I'll start by add one I've used on several of my recent photos. Flaky PaintIf you want to add them select "wallpaper" as the category for now and if we get a few we will create a specific Textures category. Wow, what a mice treasure trove of informati...

Dont forget that if you decide to manually paint a mask as opposed to using the quick select tool as in the tutorial, you can still use CS5's Refine Mask tool to refine the masks edges. HTH Stu :)

Photoshop

I have free Photoshop videos on my website and try to do it in an idiot proof fashion (which comes naturally!). I'm a copywriter by day so I'm used to putting complicated jargon into easy to digest language. I also have photo technique and photography marketing tips too. Hope it helps.
