That's best discussed in the V5 upgrade thread. This thread is for discussing a specific change to the voting system that was trialled a couple of months ago.

I'd concur with the recommendations for Ag, Lenswork and BJP. There are others too like Hotshoe, foto8 and Portfolio - whose current edition . I also enjoy LIP magazine which I get as a member of London Independent Photography. I used to be able to buy a lot of different mags when I was in London, which I wouldn't want to buy regularly but were available in places like The Photographers Gall...

He suggested that it was wrong to do this as the work belong to the artist who created the window, and you would just be copying the result. Following that logic it's wrong to photograph a building (copyright the architect) or car (copyright the manufacturer) There is no copyright infringement in photographing stained glass or sculptures in a public place. See here (Works on public displa...

We should have opportunities for photography we just couldn't do before. High iso at night, I haven't really got to grips with it, but it should be better than when I tried iso3200 b&w film, it was much more grainy than I wanted. And microphen had some nasty environmental warnings on the box. Trying to get short exposures for moving subjects by moonlight, could be feasible now.

Just to "second" that motion. I have also been using Ektar 100 in my RB67 with results that please me very much. But what I really like - and this gets back to the original question - is that shooting landscapes in film makes me slow down, appraise the scene, consider all the options, and then take a few exposures. Rather than belting out 20 exposures on my dSLR. I used to take my dig...

Sorry Pete, but I do mean PM. I found too much of the photgraphy was not to my interest and several of the articles have been covered before or by other magazines too often. I also thought there was too much landscape, which could have been in OP. The Wild Life article was very good. But please remember, these comments in forum are only personal comments, through based on a varity of experienc...

Ha! a typical lawyer's equivocation! Most lawyers are absolutely clear about their definitions - they're just different depending on whether they're for the defence or the prosecution. Then the judge comes along and spoils it all :(

Make sure they can take good photos would be a more important suggestion .. I have seen work of wedding photographers from the MPA and BIPP who I wouldn't pay to photograph my car for auto trader! Joking aside it does define a standard of skills, however it is far better to meet photographers and see their previous work, does it fit the style you are looking for, is the quality there. .......

No matter what media you use weather film or digital you will always work on the image So very true, and in that process make subjective and creative choices as to how it is worked, thereby affecting the end result.

Hi Ella, I'm pleased to hear that there may be another series next year. I think that Dave has a point in maybe having some pupils come along. Will it still be under the "Seeing Scotland" banner? If the landscape/Scotland theme could be expanded then episodes following press photography or sports photography would be interesting. Cristian
