Photoshop frustration
Paul, I have just installed and successfully run the sample "hello world" action as detailed in the hidden elements tutorial in Elements 4. I would assume that if this still works then other actions should still run. cheers Al.

I personally would go for the 24-70. I'm in the market for one at the moment as it is. Also, my dad was talking to a well known railway photographer a couple of weeks ago that shot Canon and he was saying that he wouldn't have a 24-105 given now as he's had 4 in the past (warranty replacements) and they were all lacking in sharpness and build quality!

Photoshop
I have free Photoshop videos on my website and try to do it in an idiot proof fashion (which comes naturally!). I'm a copywriter by day so I'm used to putting complicated jargon into easy to digest language. I also have photo technique and photography marketing tips too. Hope it helps.

Dont forget that if you decide to manually paint a mask as opposed to using the quick select tool as in the tutorial, you can still use CS5's Refine Mask tool to refine the masks edges. HTH Stu :)

I thought it was pretty much covered in the thread title Zatoichi - 'I will make a video tutorial about anything in photoshop.' :D My mistake, many apologies. I retract my request for help in the hope that the member concerned will return.

ePHOTOzine.tv needs your help
OK here is another a a series of videos on HDR, from the shot to the finished article. Starting out with the finished article and then showing how it is done. Make sure it ...

Blending images?
Hi Simon, Have you tried that "Triptych" thing? I've just been to your link and from what I saw there, the results looked the same as you can get using the "collage" tool in Picasa. Don't misunderstand me here, I'm not decrying it. I haven't used it yet. It just seems like it might be a little overkill? Just a thought. Jester.

Dual core or not
Don't forget two critical components. Motherboard performance is absolutely vital so don't skimp. Hard drive performance is a bottleneck so get a couple of drives and make sure they are good ones.

Photoshop help.
The key to getting to grips with photo editing using Photoshop Elements or Photoshop is to keep things as simple as possible. If you get things right at the picture-taking stage, most images will require alterations to contrast and a bit of sharpening and not much else. An awful lot of courses try to get into the more nitty gritty tweaking of images. You need to walk before you can run. S...
