Upcoming themes for Photo Month
Hi Nathan, This link will take you to it. Once you're there, you might like to bookmark it. There's also a link posted in a box with some info in the column on the right. I think I'm right in saying that it's always there. Alternatively, just keep an eye open in the forums. There's usually a thread running somewhere in there relating to it. And if none of that works . . . . . . just ask...

So they come to a forum and ask for advice - sounds reasonable to me... But then get driven away by people who have a lot to say but nothing to contribute. Sad. So you have been 'lumbered' with the job 'cos the other person left. Rethink the brief and represent it to your management... and take a chill-pill friend. Enough said.

Photography Homework Help *urgent*
What about dressing up as a tramp and sitting on a blanket by a street corner, holding a piece of cardboard that reads: "Will Shoot Weddings for Food" Because you're desperate to be a photographer? Which Photography Magazine?
I'd concur with the recommendations for Ag, Lenswork and BJP. There are others too like Hotshoe, foto8 and Portfolio - whose current edition . I also enjoy LIP magazine which I get as a member of London Independent Photography. I used to be able to buy a lot of different mags when I was in London, which I wouldn't want to buy regularly but were available in places like The Photographers Gall...

I have decided to go for another property now. It is quite a bit more expensive but is in a good location and it has 9ft high ceilings. Lucian It would seem that Lucian has taken on board at least one piece of the the advice given i.e. a larger property would be needed to house his backdrops etc. Presumably during the "It's suddenly gone quiet" period Lucian had been busy searching fo...

Quote:Quote:?If you're using matrix metering then no point - it will balance the exposure for the whole scene. not sure about nikons but canons give extra priority to the centre frame metering zones and COULD cause under/overexposure with the focus/recompose technique.use the exposure lock where you canI doubt that would be a serious issue as when you focus and then recompose, the exposure will...

Photography Club comps
Then I would suggest you all draft your issues in a clear and concise way and email them to the commitee members, as I have just done with the camera club I was attending, have now left for a club more friendly and hands on the cameras and members evenings that can be about anything you want, photographically. I have had a response from them saying that they will discuss my issues at the ne...
