Tineye I've only ever come across one of my pics on a couple of goth blogs. I'm not fussed - they're just little personal sites and hardly anyone is going to see them there!

Thanks Keith. You're probably a little more liberal-mined than me about this, but mostly I can't be bothered chasing up 'stolen' pics. I noticed a couple on blogs recently (following this thread), swiped from The Guardian rather than me, directly. One of the blogs is written by an author and minor TV presenter, so I'm mildly bemused by his indifference to copyright. Still, I don't imagine I'll ...

Paul are you suggesting seriously that it's two different photographers. Look at the steam out of the chimney, you'd have to expose at exactly the same time for the same length of time to match that. If you can go there and take your own photograph that looks as identical as those two do then I'll give you ten thousand pounds.

You may be interested in the outcome of this story about "stolen" images too.. I am a street photographer in New York City. Several months ago, I was approached by a representative of DKNY who asked to purchase 300 of my photos to hang in their store windows "around the world." They offered me $15,000. A friend in the industry told me that $50 per photo was not nearly enough to receive from ...

[i]Hey, good evening. [ Sorry for my late and sporadic replies, I work shifts. I want to make myself clear on what I was asking/after, I didn't post this question for gaining an answer to the quickest monetary solution, I'm not after suing the guy or making his life hell. I simply wanted clarification on what I felt and where I stood on the matter. Everybody is different and in MY case,...

Nothing that I'm aware of - which is why this should be attractive... Mike/Frank is there anything else out there you've both tried and had success with, i'm keen to see if any of my stuff has been used elsewhere. jk No, nothing I know about either. : ( I found some of my photos, more by accident really. I was doing a search of some places in the local area, and clicked on google image...

Stolen images

Not sure exactly what they mean or how they intend to enforce that statement... Viewing the image requires that it be downloaded. duh! Yes, I suppose they can determine the IP address to which the photo has been transfered, but I cannot see how they can determine if it was saved, etc... Just a scare tactic that keeps the honest people honest. Those that know better disregard such stat...

Do you have a bank account and if so, are you responsible for keeping the money safe in the vault? LOL. Okay, lets take that analogy a bit further. There's a bank on the high street, where you can leave your money, but they just put it in a box, open to the public, with no security at all. They are open about the fact that the money is free for anyone to pick up and I accept their terms and ...

I agree. Deletion looked like the easy fix and it might yet still work; when I last tried it was telling me that there's a 'server error.' I've found that that's not uncommon using 'Google sites,' I've built a few and it always seems to eventually right itself. Either way, it's not causing me a problem so I'm not particularly concerned. I suppose really that I should feel flattered!

I've submitted a report to the team about this, for both copyright and having two users on one account.
