Posted a part 2 to answer another question which seems to have disappeared into the ether, so here goes again- The "Kali" sequence was simply shot with all 4 mannequins lined up directly in front of the camera. The weird, delayed shadow effect (like Gary Oldman in Coppola's Dracula!) resulted from the fact that only the 4th mannequin was close enough to the backdrop to cast a shadow.

24 frames/sec works out at about 0.041 and I have just discovered that the relatively new 'windows live movie maker' will support that frame rate, so that's good. Unfortunately this means shorter videos for the amount of effort. Longer surely, previously 1000 images would give you forty seconds at 25fps now it will give you 41.7 at 24fps. You don't have to stick to 25fps (to match TV) or...

Nice! I've added your animation to my YouTube favourites. What's the audio? Sounds very like Alison Krauss' band? Alex.

Stunning...

Nick Park would have him for breakfast :o) From Wiki: The Wallace and Gromit films are shot using the stop motion animation technique. After detailed storyboarding, set and plasticine model construction, the film is shot one frame at a time, moving the models of the characters slightly between to give the impression of movement in the final film. In common with other animation techniques,...

Oops! Misread the question. A wired or wireless remote and a high capacity storage card would do unless you need to view on a larger screen in which case you need to shoot tethered as previously suggested. There are some free programs for tethered shooting which have been mentioned previously on the forums - but they may not be updated for the latest digital cameras.

It's nice to see that stop motion animation is still around. Cutting up a negative is just stupid too ...and meaningless. What's to stop a photographer taking the same photograph on a number of frames?

Did I miss something in eps.2. It says something like wildlife and falconry centre, all I saw was a butterfly house and a few dodgy bird shots from a hide with a 400mm. Thought I might learn something Why don't you invite the ephotozine.tv team to come out with you, Cheryl, and turn things around: teach us, instead of others teaching you. I'll bet that it would make a very instructive and in...

File re-naming

Lupus Rename 2000 is good. Lots of options, a preview window and an undo facility if you realise you made a mistake

Hey guys, I wondered if you could help me. I got the Fujifilm AX280 (well thats whats in the camera, packaging says AX200) Now, it is not really a problem as such, but it is. This camera is great, has amazing quality. The main big problem (For me at least) is it doesn't allow remote shooting (PC shooting). This is a big disappointment for me, as I got the camera today only to find this ...

If you are shooting with a Nikon and want to do tethered shooting then you want to check out the sofortbild at http://www.sofortbildapp.com/ for a free solution. It is really good. I have been using it with my D80 and it works great. Oh it is only available for the Mac though.

Fantastic. Nothing I can add re; what I don't like. I admire your patience and attention to detail, an outstanding piece of imagery. I wish I had the skill, time and patience to do this. Jane :)
