Not sure what to do now lol. Now thinking maybe stick around loch lomend for a few days then travel down the coast to northumberland and whitby. So much to see lol. What would you guys do. I know i definately want to go to loch lomend so thats that one sorted!!!

I used to cross using the old ferry at Kyle and watched the bridge going up. The bridge, while more convenient, certainly had no character. Good news, especially for the locals. Now all they need to do is put the old ferry back. "Speed bonnie boat..." etc. Dave

Indeed, it's simply stunning - especially when, as I had in March, the tops were snowcovered and the water in the lochs was smooth, simply beautiful.

I live in Mid Devon and the bag I used depends on what I'm shooting, but where possible I prefer to travel light. Today its a Toploader with 1d4, 70-200 and 580ex & stofen, spare batteries, cards and lens cloth, with a 24-70 in an attached lens case. With a second bag vertex 300 with backup kit & laptop nearby.

Sus you are so right about the non photographer....but I have promised my self I will escape on my own or with little beanie :) The northscape guys are great....every time I think I have the money together to book on one something goes wrong :(...will get there one day though :) Angie x
