Even the Fuji software wouldn't open the RAF files!

I expect you may have needed to download an update from the Fuji website (just guessing though!)

Still getting to know the camera but thought I'd upload one of the first photos from it. I've just been snapping and playing with settings really.

When you say the "Fuji software" do you mean Finepix Viewer or Silkypix. The former is not a raw converter so will only open jpegs. The latter is camera specific so should work. I've got an X-10 and an X-E1 and had to use different versions to open the RAF files. I binned Silkypix pretty quickly after I discovered that - what a hassle. I already had LR4 which works great and up-dated to PSE11 which also works.

FastStone also opens RAF files and is a great free raw converter.

Yes it does, works pretty well from what I saw today.

Silkpix - (I guess I might have downloaded the wrong version) But I have PS working now, all be it on a beta plugin but it seems to be working fine. I was surprised to read today that different models of Fuji's use different versions of RAF - I don't think I have come across that before.

Just tried FastStone with an ORF file from my E-M5. Opened it fine. Smile
