After your knowledge again.
I'm looking to get a 10 - 20mm lens for a Canon.
The choices seem to be EF-S 10-22mm f3.5-4.5 USM £600, Sigma 10-20mm F3.5 Ex DC HSM £430, or Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 Ex DC HSM £360
I've heard good things about the Sigma lenses, and they're cheaper!
Any first hand experience / knowledge as well as any other suggestions will be appreciated.
I'm mostly using an 18-135mm IS USM lens, but find I could do with the above range when out and about.
Cheers Darren
I don't shoot canon so can't comment on the canon lens, if getting the sigma look at the older f4 model i think it was, its the sharper lens and cheaper.
I've had two of the sigmas, first was replaced due to accidental damage. The first one was very good, the second one very poor indeed, suggesting that quality control can be an issue. I've also had two canon 10-22's as I bought one and then won one in a competition; both were excellent and considerably better than both sigmas. The sigma can be good but the canon is worth the extra money in my view.
