World's worst football team celebrate first win.

See, there is someone worse than Plymouth. Smile

OMG That's a shock. He was only on Football Focus yesterday. Seems an odd decision to go on TV if he was in that state of mind.

He was a very good player, and seemed to be becoming a good manager. Very sad.

An appalling tragedy. As a Leeds fan I never realised how something like this could be so upsetting. Gary began his professional footballing life at Elland Road. He was a gifted player and firm favourite with a crowd that has a reputation for being fickle when the mood takes. We lost him to Everton due to the financial crisis under Ridsdale. It can only have been something momentous that drove him to this and one can only hope that his family can cope amidst the wreckage.

Incidentally, wouldn't it have been a bit more respectful to let Gary have his own thread?

I can't see no harm in the separate thread and agree with Jon & Ken.

But not to distract from the news, this is really sad. You have to wonder what drove him to this, but it is so tragic. Always came across well in interviews and you would have never had thought that this may happen to him.

I heard it on the radio this morning and I was left numb & speechless. Such a sad loss for his family. It's really hard to know what to say (or type...) R.I.P Gary.

    Sad

Sheesh you lock a thread when you get reports of a duplicate thread, then you get complaints for locking the thread. Don't be a moderator if you want to be right...

Luckily I havn't be right about anything since I got married.

There you go it's unlocked now.

Or be a moderator who looks at both threads first.

I did look at both threads - both were about football and someone I had never heard of.

Ken, he got it wrong, he's put it right, leave it alone.

On a lighter note I see that, despite a remarkably mild November, some players have already taken to wearing gloves. Deary me.

It's the time of year for the prancing primadonnas to glove up and bring the snoods out, I don't even have to look beyond my own team at the Etihad. Wink
