    3rd Annual West of Ireland/Father Ted/Doolin meet

OK, here we go, it's official. Just a quick post for now for those who need dates - the third West of ireland/ Doolin meet will now officially incorporate father Ted in its title and can include a visit to the house, plus a visit weather permitting to Inis Oirr, which if it's not where it was filmed is pretty damn like it.

Last year nine of us took over a holiday house of an old friend of mine and had the best of crack. I've just confirmed these dates as definite (we can add the Thursday/Monday as required if we let her know soon enough.

As we expect maybe double the numbers this year, Maeve the landlady is going to ask someone who wons and ocasionally lets out a house just opposite whether they'd consider renting for the same weekend. if that doesn't happen not a problem, as Doolin is full of accommodation - but it would be nice to have the two houses together.

For those who want a taster, this was last year..

    are we there yet??

FECK! That's tempting. I dunno how feasible it is for me however. . . Good luck anyway. Just watched the xmas special again on the box the other night. The one with Father Todd Unctious and the Golden Cleric award, not to mention Mrs Doyle's tea machine. . . Genius!

I really, really want to come over for this... just not sure yet due to a massive tragedy on Monday and ongoing repucussions. If there is still space when the dust settles then I may very well need a weekend away on the black stuff.

Will keep a watching brief for the moment.

I would love to have a crack at this one day, sounds like a scream Smile
But I strongly suspect the bank manager is going to say otherwise this time Sad But I will keep my fingers crossed for some overtime to come along.
