If your regular dealer is running short on 5D-II's then give Dave a call, he's had a larger than usual allocation of 16 units (at the expense of other dealers!)

What, no waiting list? As I said in another post, talking with WE, they have 300 on their list, and are not expecting any until January. My plan is to wait a few weeks, a month or so anyway, so no desperate rush for me. I'm sure the price will drop from £2,250 within a few weeks
£2250? If Dave is prepared to drop the price about £600 and guarantee a 'black dot'-free camera, I might be interested! 
The January sales could be a good time to look out for the camera. Hopefully, by then, Canon will have a firmware fix on offer too.

That's got to be good for the pros, but it could restrict the number of people buying from them? I guess a large percentage of current 5D owners will be non pros, and if they go for the new 5D, they could be looking to buy somewhere else quite a bit cheaper. I know that as I will be keeping my current 5D as a back up camera, their deal certainly wouldn't interest me. But then I'm perhaps not their target audience!
Just bought from Sav at TFC London last week.
They have no waiting list as they prioritised their regulars and now have more bodies on the way by Friday at the expense of other dealers who I am told have reached credit limits. I was not charged list price in store and I know they are desperate to sell these through before Xmas as they are closed until Jan 5th.
They have a Canon day tomorrow in London so will ask about the black dots you are getting as mine is fine.
Body only at £1750 plus Vat. Nobody has any batteries or grips though yet I understand.
