I'm suspicious about this. Firefox seems to thing it's a TIF file, when I click the link I get this dialogue box:

-d1.jpg

As a test I put one of my raw files on the web here to see what Firefox would say, and with that raw file http://www.chrislongley.com/IMG_7280.CR2 I get this:

d2.jpg

Does this suggest the 'original' image of the purported 5D MkIII is really a TIF made to look like a raw file?

I just looked at the data inside the file and it certainly looks more like a CR2 file than a TIFF to me. No idea why Firefox is doing that.

Canons CR2 raw files are based on the tiff format - could this be it?

It must be Keith. I'm puzzled why Firefox would treat my .cr2 5DII file differently from a .cr2 1DsIII file but maybe just a Firefox bug.

Are these the definite specs of the camera or is it not confirmed that these are the specs?
