On all the Canon bodies I have owned or own the selected focus point flashes red when focus is achieved. I'm sure my 7D used to do this too . If it did then it has stopped, and I'd rather like my flashing red light back please.
I've been through all the menus and CFns and can't figure out which one I might have reset.
If 7Ds don't flash the red light, then please feel free to ignore this post.

is there any chance you've set it to Al servo focus mode, that switches off the focus points, so does having your lens to manual focus. I'm sure you've checked those but worth a look?
Hi, as James says, is CFn III-8, also check CFn III-10, hope this helps.
