i once heard from a landscape photographer
"capturing the world in its primest form"

Always though it was pretty true for some areas of photography if not all

When it comes to entering photographs in competitions I once came across the advice that you need to submit "the extraordinary, done well - or the ordinary, done extraordinarily well".

A famous saying is that "the camera never lies", but this is so far off the truth as to be something of a joke, more so now in the digital age. I don't know where the saying actually originated.

'A picture paints a thousand words'

    Applies equally to photography.

    With respect to landscape photography.

The two best accessories cost nothing; your eyes and your feet.

    Feet?

I heard that real landscape photographers just churned up there in a 4x4.

"You don't take a photograph. You ask, quietly, if you can borrow it."
