I am looking to buy Adobe Photoshop CS3, don't want student version or upgrade, does anyone know where to buy it for a reasonable price?

No official copy (apart from the student version) can be had for a reasonable price.

If you buy it from some of the less rep places, chances are your buying a pirate copy..

Student version only one I know cheap.

If you have any kids at school (or are a student yourself) the student version can be obtained direct from Adobe.

After a quick look this is the cheapest full version I found.

Student version is not different from the full version except for price. So if you know a student take advantage & buy with his/her name like I did it.

Bought the student version with my son as he was doing Design Technology at GCSE at the time. Much better price and no difference. There is a student link on the Adobe site, I think that was what I followed. You can also phone the order through, but to activate you need proof of ID for the person you are buying for. I scanned and emailed my sons passport and a letter from his headmaster stating that he was in full time education.

It's virtually identical to the full price version and all the current version upgrades can be downloaded for free. When the next full version of Photoshop (CS4?) is released probably next year you'll be able to upgrade to the non-student edition for the normal upgrade fee which is normally around £125 - £150.

Please remember that you cannot use Adobe Student-licensed software for commercial purposes. Such a small thing, but it's quite important...

    True, but totally uninforcable.

Well thanks for your replies and sorry for taking over the thread...
I might take the plunge then, as to commercial use well I would only use for myself anyway Smile

Don't worry juldon, v. sensible questions. I would like to thank you all for your comments, they are much appreciated!!
My next question is: does anyone know any students, or are you a student? If so get in touch, we could do a deal Wink
