Just another indignity to add to the many we now have to face when flying. These were going to be introduced in Zurich but the airport had a rethink after a lot of protests from the public.

Personally, I've never had any problem with being 'patted down'...

Why is it an indignity? Forget the sensationalised 'naked' claims of the media, they are not exactly Playboy centrefolds. Add to that the operator sits remotely and never gets to see the actual person.

I think having your body spread over a hundred square miles in a mid air explosion is far more undignified.
