Ello Forumites.
Was out today photographing Sand Martins and have a few images, I thought all I had to do was create an Album within my portfolio and upload from my computer to it, I thought wrong 
I can only add images which I have previously uploaded to the main gallery 
I really do not want to go spamming the main gallery with Sand Martin photos.
Am I doing something wrong or is this how the forum is set up ?

Currently you can only add pics through the gallery to fill albums, but that's all about to change next week when we introduce a new multiple upload feature where you can upload to new albums and you'll be able to do what you are hoping to do. The change is scheduled for Wednesday

I've created albums in the past but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to add to them.
I also cannot figure out how to change the pictures in my showcase.
I'm sure it's all explained someplace...but where ?
...the site seems to get more and more complicated as I get less and less capable of understanding it all
...sod this, next time round I'm coming back as a whiz kid...I swear you have it a lot easier.

My portfolio > More tab > Showcase manager
Tis easy for anyone below the age of 6 
My settings....(or My E2 portfolio and look for the `more' drop down menu...) .....`Showcase Manager'
will `albums' have any prominence on the site though? I have a few but it's only me that knows where they are...(I Think)
Showcase !!! lol, does that work the same as your portfolio in that images are selected from your previous gallery uploads?
As and when you do add an image in your showcase does it appear elsewhere on site, or is it visible only through your portfolio ?
