Chasing the light on the Quantocks and lost! Dismally grey when we eventually reached our destination. Until then we had gorgeous rays of golden light streaming out from the clouds. That's photography for you!

Having a very nice weekend. Went to see TinTin yesterday evening, then today a pleasant day out, dropped the youngest off for his first day at new job, went and signed up for a new Bank account where in 14 weeks time they will send me £300 pounds, and had a nice day out at Upton house with my wife and uploaded my first photo for ages.

Just came back from our village end of year do. Food okay, music fantastic .....if you like 1950s/1960s Spanish pop, tango and other garbage Sad Oh well, at least the wine was copious.

Been fixing the garden shed ready for the winter and visiting my 90year old friend in a nursing home. Both activities surprisingly uplifting. Completed the day with Match of the Day and a single malt! Toying with the idea of a Fuji X10 - anyone got ideas on this camera?.

I have an x10 too, as does Paul Morgan. There's a long thread about users thoughts here.
We are all quite happy with it so far.
