I am somewhat surprised how this has almost 1 billion hits on Youtube. Are we out of touch with the World? Unless you are South korean, how can you understand it? What do you think?

Considering they can get paid by you tube for having a load of views/ hits, wouldn't surprise me if they just used an auto clicker!

If, as I suspect, it is Gangnam, I think people view it because they enjoy watching somebody who doesn't appear to take themselves too seriously. It has obviously hit a chord in a year which has been dominated perhaps even more than normal by tragedy.

nd if you watch YT end of year video they have a lot of the top YT partners dancing to said gangem style.
I seem to remember reading that 1 billion hits will earn you maybe a hundred thousand is ad revenue, nice.

I watched it for the first time last night, but my 3yr and 7yr old girls love it,

Great bit of fun, and very catchy tune, can see why it is such a phenomenon

This is the first time I've heard or seen it. Looks like the ultimate "Dad Dance" to me. Grin
