    What I'd really like it for is just to find high ground in my area, that I can explore for photo opportunities, as I'm pretty much surrounded atm and not by very photogenic sights! Thanks for the feedback though

    I use Memory Map on a SGSII. If you press the buttons a little too quickly it freezes for a minute or so but if you just leave it to do it's thing whilst on the hills it's just as good as on my previous PDA/GPS setup. There is also a free MM Tracker App without the same bells and whistles which allows you to use your previously bought MM maps too.
