Hello, I'm Bee.
I live in Lancashire and care full-time for my mother who has mid to late stage vascular dementia. This is very much a full-time occupation which limits my photographic options and means that I tend to do a lot of macro stuff because I'm tied to the house. Luckily I like doing macro, so it's not all bad!
I've been taking photographs for just over 8 months when I was given a Nikon Coolpix compact camera for Christmas and registered on Blipfoto. The discipline of taking a daily photo pushed me to be creative and resulted in me upgrading to a Panasonic Lumix FZ-150 and doing the 10 week OU digital photography course (which I've just yesterday had notification that I've passed
) I like the bridge camera because it's light and easy to use - no heavy lenses to battle with - but I do wish it had a bigger sensor sometimes. I use a Raynox 150 macro lens with it and get some nice results.
I'm planning on joining my local photographic society because I reckon that that is where I'll find the most help. Sometimes nothing beats someone actually showing you how to do something rather than watching YouTube tutorials...
This forum is enormous! so it will take a while to find my way around. But just wanted to say Hi ![]()
