I have just taken my 100-400IS out of the case to check and clean ready for a shoot on Saturday and have found that a black ring inside the lens has come loose, has anyone else had a similar problem?.

Its only been 4 weeks since I converted from Nikon to Canon and feel absolutely gutted that im already having problems with Canon, I have already had my 20D replaced as it was faulty and now this.

Has anyone got a Nikon D1X for sale?, I may be tempted.

I'd say take it back to the store and get a replacement.

Heard of specific issues with bearings going in the 100-400 L IS but never had a jot of bother with any of my Canon Kit in last few years.

Problem solved, T4 cameras replaced the lens for me today.

    Thanks
