Quick question. I'm thinking of getting one of these monitors, but I want to find out if this monitor has colour temperature presets on it. i.e. On my current Viewsonic monitor I have it set to 6500k. Can you do the same on the Dell?

I'm not familiar with that monitor but generally the best results from an LCD monitor are obtained by selecting Native White Point.

I have the U2711 which is just a larger version of that screen, you can set almost anything you like in the setting from , sRGB, Adobe1998 etc but i use the custom settings for colour management allowing me to set it correctly for Photoshop, yes you can set it at 6500k.

    Thanks y'all.

I have looked on line for info - but I can't find anything specific to my query and I've since posted a query on the Dell forum.

I don't think it is the same type of screen Tony. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think yours is a wide gamut monitor and the 2311 isn't...?
