Geoff, in the past I have managed to get photo passes for matches by ringing and asking the press office of the ground where the match will take place. That was a few years ago now so I don't know if things have changed but worth a call. Good luck.

Lower league stuff should be ok (no problem at Blackpool, div 1), but forget it with anything remotely premier or championship.

You wouldn't get one for the Championship either...tighter than sheeps bits in a Yorkshire pub. Somewhere like Doncaster Rovers et al maybe, but even lowly clubs like that have a pecking order with the regular guys keen to protect their sales.

Funnily enough was chatting to someone last night about arranging accreditation for the World Cup next year.

Dont think you had that in mind though.

Write a really grovelling letter asking for the crappiest spot by the pitch, wearing a fluorescent jacket saying "work experience" and only after signing a disclaimer vowing to never sell anything you get?

I've actually thought about doing this in the past, but I'm more put off at the thought of the pro's laughing at my incredibly inadequate equipment.

Not to mention my camera and lenses! ;o)

Don't try Exeter. They think they are so good the very sight of a camera in the audience gets you a marshall threating to confiscate it.

Well I'm thinking of going to my local club tomorrow. Prescot FC. Their in the Unibond league and will probably snap my £7 entry fee and give me access anywhere around the pitch.
