Are Courtenay Solaflash 1000s Units compatable with modern flash units?

27 Nov 2010 9:52PM
Hi
I have two flash heads of these old units, one slave one normal. I would like to get more heads to work with these ones that I have. Does anyone know if modern flash units would work with these old ones? And if so which ones are good? I'm on a bit of a budget so the best cheapest ones you know of would be great. I will be using them mostly for product photography.

Thank you
Rhowena

Yes modern units can be used with older flash units, no problem.
I tried the Elemental Genesis kit the other week and that's really good for the money.

The only problem you might have is that the old heads might give a slight difference in color, and will not have the same recharge cycle which can be annoying.
