I need to find a supplier of an audio trigger or someone who's willing to build me one :o)

    Anyone know of a supplier?

Can anyone tell me how to build one (easily)or even build it for me? I'll pay....

I've searched the net and found lots of information but it's about building your own and electronics ain't my thang.

    Thanks, Judi

Bob Rigby used to sell triggering systems like shutterbeam
    also warehouse Express
Suggest you sit down and have smelling salts before checking the price!

You might like to keep your eye open on e-bay for a Mazof trigger system. Unfortunately no longer in production - but possible cheap option if they appear on e-bay.

I got a couple of kits from hiviz as suggested by MeanGreeny.

The kits were despached quickly, and the instructions to put them together are very simple.

So far I've built this one and it works great. I have no knowledge of electrical circuits, and it took about one hour to build. The step by step photos on the web-site really help, and can probably be followed by anyone.

One word of warning - be fairly frugal when cutting the wire to length, because I made nice long connections for ease and ran out just before the last couple of connections. The wire is easy to get from Maplin etc, and I've now got loads if you do go ahead and build a kit, and subsequently run out.

Thanks Max - I'll give it a go if it's easy.... I'm not bad at putting things together but I just don't understand the technology so if I get something wrong I won't know.

Thanks all for your suggestions. Think I'll go for the DIY kit. Nice 'n cheap too :o)

    Hi
Having dabbled with high speed flash in conjunction with audio and video sensors I can confirm that some of the prices for equipment is very high. The one I currently use cost me about £8 complete with case, the case being the dearest part. I will put some of my shots taken on my gallery when I open it.

I'll look forward to that Stan, Thanks

As I have had no response from the original Zuid Afrikanner I shall withdraw my offer.

What offer Stan? Have I missed something here? Sorry if I'm being a bit fick.

Oh, just seen your pics of the balloons and your triggering device - that's amazing. I've not started on my kit yet - been horribly busy.

If you were offering to make me one... well, that would be nice :o) I'll pay you of course!! Judi

I didn`t make an offer, but I thought you would get in touch. Let me know how you get on with your project. Which one have you got?

Fascinated by this but forgive my ignorance, what applications do you guys put your sound-triggered flashes to?
