I like the way they are checking to see if its damaged by moving it to deeper water - if it sinks then we know it was holed? Smile

What gets me about this is not the fact that its run adrift, during sea trials - but that the BBC/news have broadcast all about how its built, what it can do (or should do) et al!

I bet if you got yourself a copy of Janes Fighting Ships there is shed loads more useful information than that publicly available...

anyway as most Journalism is wildly inaccurate, they are probably doing the Ministry of Defence a favour by hiding the real facts Wink

And it was only on Wednesday that George Osborne said he would no longer fund the big tug that pulled it clear as there was no need for one in that area! Plonker or what? Tongue

Brian,

1. If you have a hole in a bucket you'll tell on the inside. 2. They could seal off a compartment anyway 3. Can the DryDock float in that amount of water? 4. How much will it cost? 5. Where is the nearest DryDock?

I'm not totally behind what the government are doing but people are quick to judge after the occurrence
