    Ordered a Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS L USM and was told it was in stock and would be sent by Next Day courier. Paid by credit card and received an invoice by email. Then received an email saying the item had been dispatched. It did not arrive the next day and all my emails were ignored. I eventually got an email today saying the item 'was not in stock but a delivery is expected at the weekend'. Clearly the lens was never in stock nor had it been dispatched. I cancelled the order and will never use them again.

    I bought from them at Christmas and my experience was positive.

    Just to reinforce ChrisGilbert's experience above - I too had a very positive transaction with them last year. Everything arrived as described and delivered as promised.

    Sorry to hear of the OP's experience though - not good.

    I usually do my research properly but rushed this one a bit (needed the lens for a visiting friend!) - never again.

    A quick Google throws up lots of complaints Sad
    You appear to be dealing with the trading name of Camerabox Ltd with a registered number at Companies House 05046990 - a payment of a few pounds should get you the registered address, directors names etc.
    I hope you eventually get your lens.
    HOWEVER - did not the following from the web site put you on enguiry?
    1. No mention of a UK address
    2/ 5 year Mack warranty - which should scream grey import
    3/ No mention of whether the import duty and VAT (total about 25%) has been paid - or if it is your responsibility to pay the taxes.
    4/ Contact by email - not the phone.

    Just ordered a Panasonic FZ38 plus other goodies from Camerabox - I ordered it yesterday and placed reliance on the front page of the Camerabox website which promises "Same Day Dispatch ... Next Day Delivery" if you order before 6 pm on a weekday which I did. Today (the day I should have received my order) I checked the order tracking on the Camerabox website ... only to find that the order was being "processed". I phoned ... and waited ... got through to surly man who told me that due to an order backlog the camera could not be with me for another 2 days. I asked him about the promise on the website about Next Day Dispatch - he simply said it was out of his control. What a total pain! The only good bit - he agreed to cancel the order. I am told my refund will take 2 - 5 working days to come through. Net result: Camerabox make promises on the Home Page of their website they cannot keep. Will definitely not use again.

    Beware Camerabox! I've used "digital4u" with great results.

    Always had good service from camerabox but I guess every company has it's bad days, do a search on google for any company and you'll find bad reviews so I guess it's always a bit hit or miss.
