I am looking for a new bag that will safely house my present gear, and wife allowing
, will also house some future purchases. I have looked at the Lowpro Flipside 300, also the Mini Trekker AW. What i would really like though is some views from you guys who have used them in the field so to speak.
Present gear is as follows:
D300
Sigma 70-200 F2.8
50mm 1.8
Sigma 10-20
Quote: Have just ordered a Kata 467 (from AJ Purdy £52!!!)
That's what you think ![]()
I use the mini-trekker!......And what's more it carries around my Siggy EX 50-500mm with the body on, with a few other lenses chucked it the bag. Plus a whole load of other bits and bobs.
It's getting long in the tooth now being at least 4 years old and hasn't let me down at all in all that time. It's quite comfy on the shoulders as well, although the straps could do with being a little longer, only because I'm a chunky monkey (over-weight fat git) ![]()
Defininately a recommended buy though.......Ade
Thanks for all the feedback folks, just what i was looking for, user reviews
.
The Tamrac looks very promising, will have a look on the net for the best deals.
Osman123 i think i will have to pop into a shop and try it out first, I have been told that i am built like the proverbial outhouse 6' 5" and cough....and, well, over 18stone. I too need a generous strap length for comfort.
Quote: I believe there is a mini-trekker for sale in the classifieds?
I saw a used one go for around £35 on ebay, and the owner said it was well used. I got one this week from Morris Photographic for £56, including P&P, it's hardly woth bothering with a second hand one. I had the Micro before, for many years, and only got rid of it because the zip could not stand anymore of my abuse! ![]()
