...has just been sentenced to 4 years imprisonment for fraud. I wonder if it will stick this time?

I heard about this from the radio. It made me laugh when the reporter told us, Berlusconi is unlikely to be given a custodial sentance because in Italy people over 70 aren't sent to jail. Berlusconi made that law whilst he was in office!!!!

To cap it all, the sentence has to be validated by 2 more courts and the statute of limitations runs out in less than a year, which means the sentence will be quashed. Probably including the fine.
