There's been some great British TV transmitted over the years, much of which has been highlighted in this thread.

Something that springs to mind (apologies if someone's already mentioned it) is the fantastic music associated with many British TV dramas, particularly the police/detective type. These're some of my favourites -

Absolutely, and you have chosen some really good examples. The closing theme to the Sweeney has always been a favourite of mine. I'd forgotten about the theme to Public Eye so thanks for the reminder.

The theme to The Persuaders was also good.
