'Blind Man' - what a fantastic number that is and I just can't seem to stop playing the sod. Funny thing is - I'd been listening to the album but had to nip out. When I got back, my missus had Blind Man on full belt.....way to go!!

That is good, but very much like TOOL and PERFECT CIRCLE, don't you think?

Now you've got me thinking. Well maybe, yes...

Although I do hereby admit to not having heard of the two bands mentioned. Must check 'em out though Grin

The lead guitar player of both bands is the same, and he writes a lot of the material. If I listened to Blind Man without knowing beforehand who it was, I would have said, hey, a new Tool song.

So, in your opinion, which is the best Tool album? I ask because the number of 5-star ratings they're albums are getting on Amazon cannot be lightly dismissed (e.g. '10,000 Days' - 111 top rated recommendations)

10,000 days is one of their best. They're so innovative, they're always testing new waters, and their videos are off the wall.

Go on youtube and search some examples before you buy anything. The Tool site is interesting also; they're out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Our son has travelled as much as 3500 miles to attend their concerts.

Checked out both bands on YT.... Man, that is DARK stuff. Intense and deliberate riffing in the Canon mold (dark side).
BSC are defo more easy going.

Here's Imagine by Perfect Circle. Good Video.

Probably some of the most provocative photos you've seen.

Tool's music is like a good Scotch, an aquired taste. You will find that the studio recordings are much easier to listen to.

Yes, moving...and yet, 'Imagine' played in such a sombre key was just as thought provoking.
