In the course of my travels/work i've come across these two tins, which used to contain Web Blanco.

    dsc-6611-001.jpg

I know what it is and what it's for, but i'm trying to find some sort of date for them. I've asked father, as he's an ex soldier, but he says he's never seen it in that form before. and yes i've googled and cannot find similar packaging anywhere.

    Any suggestions?

    Regards

    Den

I would say its post-1908 because of the colour but pre-WW1 due to the packaging and the fact that its a powder.

You could try your local auction house.

    I think it is 1939 - 1945/6 issue.

A "Pickering's" description of sprinkle cans/tubs with powder is issue during this period.

The smaller "bloc" was more prevalent though.
