    What's the easiest way to blend two photos? I've exposed for bottom half of pic and I've exposed for the sky in the other.

    There are one or two fancier ways of doing this, although surely if the pictures are reasonably aligned subtle use of an HDR app would do the trick? SNS-HDR Lite does a pretty good job by default for free, although it has no UI and works by command prompt.

    Failing that, when the photo isn't conveniently sliced in half for straightforward layer blending, there's this (see 'The Layer Mask' technique specifically, which isn't as daunting as it sounds). The end result tends to look a little unnatural (not unlike many attempts at HDR), so a little tweaking is usually required.
