There are not many meets in the area and as this is a popular location for several epz members I though would be a good location for some photography and chat

Take a closer look at the link below, in the members diary for more details.

Hope you can come along, I will be bringing a camera but no film Wink

I'll be doing my best to make this one as it's a bit of a busy time of year for me.
I haven't been to Bodiam for years and don't really remember where it is, so if I don't turn up on the day it'll be because I'm lost!

Looks like a great place, but too far from public transport for me, I'm afraid!

I visited Bodiam today, as the kids were on half term. We were heading for Leeds castle as there seemed to be more going on there, but in the end decided it was too far.

Darren, apparently if you arrive by public transport you get a reduced entrance fee. They don't specify where you find this transport in the middle of nowhere! Parachute maybe? Wink

Yes, very much so!
I'll look forward to a nice sunny day at the castle when I can concentrate on taking pictures without having to stop my kids from throwing themselves out of the turrets!

You certainly can around the outside, but across the moat & "inside" ( there is no roof ) Juliee & Sezz are better placed to answer as I've not ventured there to date.

Have calendar back log and clashes with other things so not going to be able to get to this one. Shame as Bodiam can be very photogenic

I didn't take tripod when I visited the other day as I had enough to carry, but I will be taking one for the meet. When you cross the moat there is a man checking tickets, so you could always ask him when you enter. I can't see any reason why not unless it's especially busy.

There is no problem using tripods at Bodium, inside or out. Public transport refered to is the Kent and East Sussex Railway, which is photographic in it's own right, and runs from Tenterden.

Hi Trevor

A lift would be great - Welling is 45 minutes from home, so what time would I need to be there?

Darren
