Very informal this but if anyone is planning on attending the British GT/F3 races on the 24th March at Oulton park, and would like to meet up then please do.
It's ideal if you've never tried motor sports photography and would like to, I'm by no means an expert but I'm happy to help you to get decent shots.
I'll stick this in the calendar thingy.

You can pencil me in for that, never been to Oulton park. Brands is my local haunt, it would be nice to have a change.
Might wonder over as well, been a while since I was last at op,
I might be available for this Mark
Never been to a meet before but would love to come along to this one.
Just down the road from me and would be good to get some good motorsport pictures and meet a few new faces and at £20 for the day its a bargain.
Top stuff, the more the better.

I would love to but it's a bit far from Kent for me. I'm certainly hoping to get to some of the other rounds though.
Yep, I could be up for this, not been to Oulton for a couple of years.
There might be camping for the weekend at this one, there normally is if anyone is interested.
I wont be there for the first time in ages (Bosses Family coming for Easter) but Eifion will probably be there more than likely.
Have fun, its a great day/weekend out
Where is the best place to go with a camera at Oulton Park?
stevie, take your pick. there are loads of places.
Lodge Corner (inside) there's only Armco here so views are excellent. If watching bikes take some step ladders so you can get a high view point. (have a look at some of my bike shots)
Old Hall (outside) with a 300mm+ lens you can get them coming out the first corner. There is fencing but if you got to the end and get low down you'll get good shots.
Deer Leap (outside) This is the opposite side of Lodge and where you can get the famous shot of the Lodge building in the background. There a dip in the banking, if you shoot from there it's a good view. Walk towards lodge from the pit straight, you know it when you get there.
Clay Hill (inside or out) Not a brilliant point but good for panning shots, your also looking down on the track.
Knickerbrook (outside) Cracking point for shots, again getting down low helps.
Brittons (outside) This has to be one of the best places, your about 20-30 feet away from the track, no high fencing and you can chat to the marshals as they are stationed there, but not in the way of anyone taking pictures.
Oulton parl layout click the map to see large.
Thanks Mark - this is really helpful.
Really hacked off that I'm on B/H shift at work so gonna miss this one.
Ive added myself to the list and so has Eifion (Banditman)
Im taking my Camervan so I can provide hot drinks if anyone wants.
Where is everyone meeting, ( I normally park the van near Knickerbrook) if anyone wants a lift Im coming from Anglesey so can collect on route.
