If each of us had a 'buddy' within the group then subjects could be 'swapped' between the 2 people,or would that make it too complicated ?

Quote: It could be fun seeing Ade photographing fluffy birds on a stick, and Janet capturing Yorkshireterrier in a dark alley

...very funny Nick......lol...would a Jack Russell in a box do ?...I don't have a Yorkshireterrier Wink

Quote: Quote:I think the subjects should be assigned rather than chosen, that way people get to do things they wouldn't normally and they'll learn more.yeah - chosen within each group by consensus, or the same subject for ALL groups?

    Erm, you've lost me there.

Just thinking out loud. Let's say:

    Each group has 6 members, 1 , 2 , 3, 4 , 5, 6

    We have 6 different themes. a, b, c, d, e, f

Each week one member do one theme. 1 does a; 2 does b...etc

Week after, members in the group rotate the themes. 1 does b; 2 does c...etc

Once all members do all themes, we change all 6 themes to something else.

Seems like a good idea, as long as it stays fairly simple..
    Can I play too?

    whoa whoa whoa

    stop complicating it peeps!

keep it nice and simple for the first month at least - pick a subject each week, then we all do the same subject that week

give that a go till july and then think about "enhancements"

I think youre right Ade. All together in June.

A subject thats not done much on EPZ - what about close up / macro (just a thought). Then it will give us a trial run to see how we can adapt it for June. Then maybe the best image gets to chose the next subject, What do you think ?

We cant have that, its too much like home territory for Cole

Have to agree with Ade - keep it really simple.

All too complex for me on a weekly basis I'm afraid.

As I'm hotel living again now I would never fit in taking an image for a theme, and by the sounds of this system I can't join a critique group without posting an image.

So much as I am keen to give critique as expressed on the other thread this idea just does not fit in with my working situation. Good luck though.

Surely you can critique whether you join the group or not. The whole point of this is to do something different and to ensure you get c&c.

Once a week is a bit ambitious. Once every fortnight would be more realistic.

Well from what I read all members post an image and then critique each others - so it appears no image, no critique.

Interesting idea, but agree with Cole that once a week is ambitious. I'd like to be involved, but a bit busy with other things right now Sad

Cheryl there no hard and fast rules. I'm not keen on once a week as I wont be able to participate every week. I think realistically once a month or every 2 weeks is more realistic.

The idea was to get people out of their comfort zone, then recieve honest not "good shot" etc remarks. Crits from someone like yourself would always be welcome, at least by me.

I see Cathy posted something similar what about a monthly thing? no excuses then
