I have a budget of about 50-60 to spend on a tripod,i will use it in the garden, indoors and if i get time to do some local landscapes!! The main thing i would like is one that will come up to a good height so i do not have to bend down to look through the veiw finder.Thanks.

my advice is that if you going to get a tripod get a good on that is sturdy enouh to hold your camera "STILL"

Maybe if you cannot afford good tripod then buy a second hand good tripod! what the hell if it's scratched. it's what it does that counts.

have a look at these , not a known make but i bought one and several friends have followed suit, built like a tank for no money, copy of a top tripod maker. this particular ad link may be a larger unit but you can follow the link to a heavy one with head for 50

Thanks for that link Phil, I might replace my Hama 10 from Tesco job sometime soon. ( though it's bloody good for a tenner )
