Hi everyone ive put this on another part of the forums, just after a bit of advice wanted if you can help me would be appreciated.

i am after some advice about camera settings for this event im going to at butlins skegness next weekend. my gear is nikon D5000, Nikon 55-200 mm vr, and 18-55mm vr also off camera flash if needed. can any of you guys let me know the sort of settings which would get me some decent shots. I am taking my Autisic son who is mad on wwe and want to get some good shots for him. i think we will be near the ring or near enough for my 55-200 so any advice would be most appreciated.

    Thanks

    Carl

First off, check whether they allow cameras like that - you may run into problems if they don't allow them

Fast shutter speeds are the name of the game, if you want sharp shots of things that move. So pump up the ISO to 800 and get your lens nice and wide, say F5.6 or F4. use Av mode (Or A in nikon world) and see what shutter speeds you get. If you're getting 1/200th or more, you're ok, 1/500th is ample.

I'm not sure they'll be keen on off camera flash from the crowd?
