    i say trouble, thing is, it just wont come on. its a minolta z2, i seem to have got the impression it may have happened when plugging it into my new laptop as it aint come on since, anyone any ideas? and before anyone says, no i havent forgotten how to switch it on and yes the batteries are charged, is it dead?

    I instantly thought Dead Batteries, because downloading direct from camera to laptop instead of through a reader, kills the batteries very quickly. But you say not ....and no error message either. Have you tried taking the batteries out and reinstalling, that should reset everything.

    ive tried both different sets of batteries i have, so im afraid it aint that. nope, no error messages whatsoever, just dead, oh dear :o\

    thanks for that col, bloodyhell at least 120 to get it repaired, time for a new camera me thinks. well it lasted just over a year, 1 year and 1 week to be exact...typical!

    One of my Nikon D70's packed up, exactly 1yr + 1 week old, phoned nikon & they repaired it under warranty as it was so close, talk nice to them & you may get a result, always worth a try!

    right, i put on my nicest phone voice this time...i think they went for it! gotta send a copy of reciept down with the camera and the guy on the phone says that 'should' be ok.

    god this site is too helpful for its own good, i just wish i had a camera to join in ;o)
